Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer, but for a long time, it felt like just that: a dream. I didn’t pursue fashion design right away. Instead, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management with a concentration in Event Leadership from Temple University.
After college, I was working in events and signed up for a sewing class at my local community center. At the time, I thought sewing might just be a fun hobby. But not long after, I came across Made Institute in Philadelphia and decided to apply. It was through their program that I finally got a glimpse into what a career in fashion design really looked like. As I progressed through my courses, everything just clicked. I knew I had found my path, and for the first time, it felt like more than a dream.
Now, I truly love every aspect of fashion design. My biggest inspiration comes from vintage clothing and textiles—I’m drawn to the stories they tell and the craftsmanship behind them. I enjoy mixing old and new in my own wardrobe, and that same blend of nostalgia and modernity is reflected in my designs.
I’m excited to continue learning and growing as a designer, and to see where this journey takes me.
